A self-proclaimed Pop-Expressionist, I am starting this site to display my work. I began to paint and draw again three years ago after a 25-year layoff to marry, raise my step-children, and develop an alternate career. Thanks to my early teacher, renowned artist Gene Gill, I attended a year at Chouinard Art School on a Disney scholarship. My family couldn't afford for me to continue and I joined the Marines. After my service I used the GI Bill to get my AA with honors, and to attend Otis Art Institute where I completed my BFA and began working on my Masters degree, studying under Matsumi Kanemitsu, Emerson Woelffer, and Charles White. I had two studios over several years, with dear friends Wailehua Gray, the renowned Hawaiian artist, and Mike Swift, painter and storyboardist. I have had a successful career in commercial real estate engineering and environmental programs, and found that, although I still have to work, I have time to create once again. I have exhibited at the Jeffrey Winter Fine Arts gallery in Los Angeles, and am working to complete 15-20 paintings, at which time I will pursue a show. I hope you enjoy my work.
